Can you use the same toy for anal and vaginal penetration?

I don’t mean going back and forth between them in the same session without the toy being cleaned, I know that’s a huge no no, but could I use a silicone or glass toy for both as long as they’re cleaned before and after using in either? Do I need separate toys?

Make sure the toy has a “flange” on the end to prevent it from being sucked into your anus. An anal toy must always have a “flange” to be safe. It may be flat or be just a large ball that will not go inside. Going to the ER to have a toy removed from your insides is not the most pleasant thing.

Wouldn't recommend silicone for this because it absorbs bacteria over time however glass will be fine as long as it's thoroughly cleaned
