Sharing is caring

It got me thinking, my LO who is 2 has been tested out from her grandparents if she can share her ice cream or something else with them. And they make a face when she’d say no, or say “whattttt?” so she’d go and share anyway.

I have said at home “sharing is caring” but where is the fine line to share? How do you communicate to your toddler when it’s ok to share and when it’s ok to say no?

Would that confuse them?

I want to teach LO that she doesn’t have to share if she she doesn’t want to and she shouldn’t be made feel guilty or she’s a bad person for not sharing
