pcos and the pill

i have pcos and i get my period for 6 days after cycles that are never shorter than 3 months. because of all that my fertility is generally very low.

i used to be on the pill just to regulate my cycle so it would come every month but it would be heavier, longer and more painful than without.

so my question is - what would happen fertility wise if i go on the pill again?

since my period would come every month instead of every few months, wouldn’t that make me more fertile?

i’m aware i should probably ask a gp but i just wanted to get a general idea.
