Engagement ring shape

My bf and I are at the point of discussing engagement rings. The problem is… I cannot decide!

My entire life I thought I would want silver but now I’m leaning towards gold.

I know I want a solitaire diamond with a thin pave ring. But I cannot decide if I like the oval or emerald cut diamond more.

My style overall is leaning towards timeless and neutral with a few trendy pieces that rotate in.

Between gold vs silver and oval vs emerald….. what do you think?
