Does anyone here have a copper iud?

Hey y’all I’m seriously thinking about getting a copper iud. I’m curious to see hear people’s experiences with them so I can for sure decide whether I want to set up an appointment or not. Thanks y’all!

I do! When I’m on hormonal birth control I get dark spots all over my face; diagnosed by a dermatologist as melasma. 
The next best thing after having my son was non hormonal. I like that it doesn’t release extra hormones into by body but my periods are longer and cramps are more intense. I don’t break out but am definitely still emotional. I’m ok with it because the pain is bearable but it’s not for everyone.

I love my copper IUD. I’ve had mine over 2 years now and no complaints. The heavy painful periods sucked the first 6 months or so but after that they returned to almost normal.
