Depo shot reviews!? Help me decide pls!

Question

Hi guys! I’m due to give birth in the next 3-ish weeks and I’m exploring different birth control methods to get on afterwards! The only form of bc I’ve had in the past is the arm implant (which I WILL NOT be getting again). My doctor mentioned the depo shot for a good option but I wanna hear if anyone had any good/bad side effects from it?!

I was on depo for two years, i had no side effects other than a little bit of weight gain. It took my periods away all together because it stops ovulation. I loved it! Just be careful, it can cause some bone density loss if taken for longer than 2 years. It also takes some time getting off of it. It isn’t an estrogen based BC its synthetic Progesterone. I suggest googling and looking up the pros and cons!

Depo ruined my life. How? I gained weight was never able to get rid of and I had some funky thing happen with my eyes that made me lose vision. They said it was from the high dose of hormones in Depo. 
I don't approve!
