Is it annoying for the first name and last name to end in the same sound?

If it straight up rhymes, I think it would sound funny or like a comic book character, example: James Ames, Gwen Len. But if it was a longer last name/first name and just ended in the same letter or two, then it might be okay, example: Carter Miller, Lilith Smith.

My name is Lindsey Lee, which i dont think sounds weird. My sister’s name is Emily, and people have asked my mom why she didnt name her Emma instead (Emma Lee = Emily) because they didnt like the sound of Emily Lee 🤷🏻‍♀️

Absolutely. My husband first and last name both end in "ing" and it's strange and people often give us side eyes about his name almost rhyming like that. It's not a good move if you ask me.

Depends a ton- my last name is only one syllable and I feel like anything that remotely rhymes is awful, think Nell Bell, maybe for some situations it wouldn’t be so rough though

Our last name ends in an e sound (y) and we found any first names ending in the same sound to be a bad combo which was a bummer because I really liked the name Eisley. It was just too much.

I have an "-er" last name and have yet to hear an "-er" first name that I think pairs will with it. The sound combo bothers me, personally.
