Cramping with IUD

I’ve had the Liletta IUD for 11 months.. no issues. The past week I have been experiencing a lot of cramping. Similar to period cramps but a little sharper and different. I’m pretty certain it isn’t time for my cycle yet, and I don’t think my symptoms are of a UTI either. I’m going to schedule an appointment with my doctor, but I just wondered if anyone with an IUD has experienced this before?
