Misdiagnosed missed Miscarriage?

Hello All,
Has anyone been told they had a missed miscarriage and went on to have a baby? I’m getting a second opinion to my diagnosis of a missed miscarriage because the ultrasound tech seemed to think it was possible there was a fetus but my doctor didn’t agree. I called a different clinic and requested a second opinion. I’m praying for a miracle 🙏🏾😇

Getting a second opinion is definitely the way to go. Especially if the tech seems to think baby could be there. I know it's not their job to diagnose but it is their job to get the images everyday.

Mine was different because it was discovered my 2nd scan, so I knew my dates were accurate. But if it was your first scan, you can be not as far along as you thought eg you ovulated late, especially if your periods are irregular. Have they also checked if your hcg levels have been rising?

No, mine was a definite missed miscarriage. They checked on an ultrasound 2 weeks apart to be sure

Update: no heartbeat was found. Today I’ll take meds to start the process.

I had a missed miscarriage, and the OB had me schedule a follow up ultrasound for a week later to be sure. However, I ended up miscarrying naturally before the follow up. 
If your OB office isn't going to let you schedule another ultrasound a week later, I would try going somewhere else.
