I’m 5 weeks today with my first pregnancy, when I went to the bathroom yesterday I had a lot of brownish discharge and I’m really concerned😔 My doctor referred me for an ultrasound but they can only get me in on Feb 23. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi I never had any discharge/spotting/bleeding with My first but currently have brown discharge when I wipe and I'm 5 wks 4days pregnant with my second. Brown discharge is old blood so I wouldn't worry too much. Even if it's stringy. If blood is red in colour I.e new blood and or there are clots then I would be concerned and would seek medical attention. 
It could be your uterus expanding or your mucus plug forming. Our body's are amazing, try not to stress and enjoy your pregnancy. A chilled mummy makes for a chilled baba xxx

I had alot of spotting with my first. It's always scary to see blood. U could go to the er if it continues
