TTC with cystic ovaries
Cross posted - feeling concerned…
Have been TTC #2 for 18+ months
OB/GYN ordered blood work in October - testosterone (63 ng/dL) and DHEAS (321 mcg/dL) were higher than normal so referred to an RE.
Last cycle RE did ultrasound which detected 4 cysts on one ovary. The doctor was shocked that I wasn’t medicated, as she expected to see this in a patient taking clomid. Bloodwork confirmed ovulation had just occurred. 1 week later another ultrasound showed 2 cysts remaining (likely dual ovulation according to RE).
New cycle - Day 3 bloods show FSH @ 18 and estrogen below 15. RE is concerned about the high FSH, but also confused bc it doesn’t correlate with normal/high AMH of 4.95 from October. wants to recheck AMH to confirm whether October was accurate or a fluke - results just came back with AMH even higher at 5.78.
Doctor doesn’t want to medicate as I am ovulating regularly, and possibly naturally over stimulated. Period comes every 29-31 days.
Waiting for another cycle to retest FSH, but I have read that your highest is the most indicative of egg quality no matter what. Started taking coq10, per doctor’s recommendation, but also stated that there is no guarantee it will help. Feeling discouraged. Anyone else with similar experiences? Success stories?
