If your not exclusive can you date other people? I’ve been talking to someone for 2 weeks it’s been ok he’s just not very good at communication. Last time I saw him he started asking me questions about my ex husband and making jokes like why did I marry him … I didn’t let it bother me at the time. This week I told him I had a date and all he said was, well since your going on a date can I . I said we never talked about being exclusive so yes. He’s been kind of quiet since then. I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong. Btw we’re in our 40’s

I think not being exclusive is totally fine I just think it’s weird you find it okay to volunteer information about you going on a date with another person.. seems like something not necessary to disclose unless you are begging for a reaction 🤷🏾‍♀️💞

Yeah. You can always date around unless exclusivity has been established and discussed. 
Monogamy isn't something you can just expect of someone you are just getting to know. Dating has not really ever worked that way as far as I'm aware? Exclusivity isn't default- I think that could be more confusing. 
It's kinda like I went to subway with a guy once and he thought we were in a relationship... without telling me... and he posted it on social media 🙃
Like bro it was one date & we didn't even discuss expectations. 
But yeah, with people who don't communicate this gets confusing- because they'll basically assume you are on the same page, even though you never talked about anything at all. Like there's a guy who I dated for 3-4 months years ago and he told me he calls me his "ex-girlfriend"- and I'm like... bro, if you had ever told me I was your girlfriend I wouldn't have left 🙃 but I have no idea if he's just saying it even though I wasn't. 
Basically, I'm agonizing over the point that, expectations & relationship status & exclusivity have to be clearly communicated- you can't assume your way into a specific type relationship. Yes relationships have a natural flow- but sometimes people are not on the same page & if nothing is said nobody knows it. 
But yes he could be hurt by it if he thought the relationship was naturally headed in a certain direction & it's valid if he's jealous and doesn't like having direct "competition" (some people view it like that- I'm polyam so I don't.) It's valid if he has feelings or desires- but he could also communicate them.
 Or you could start the conversation if you want to either establish the relationship or talk about a potential misunderstanding. 
But nah you didn't do anything wrong. That's how Dating works- before you are committed, you are not committed.

You’re single. Do what you what, it’s okay to not put all your eggs in one basket . Everyone has their own views/opinions (me personally I do tend to only talk/date that one person until it’s official, just personal preference) I honestly wouldn’t have even brung up I had another date, its irrelevant/only your business

You van date other people for sure. & honestly he doesnt sound like the right guy... For anyone lol. It sounds kind of immature to make that comment of "oh why did you marry him" & its very immature to assume your only talking to eachother without him asking you in the first place.

If your not interested in this guy then drop him and move forward. I see dating more than 1 person nonsensical but that a personal opinion. Sounds like you know there is no future with the first guy and no reason to entertain him anyway
