Desperate pup or the start of territorial behavior?
So we have a three month old puppy and I'm sure we just give her more credit than we should, in terms of bladder control, but:
On Saturday she peed on our couch. I can't remember if the door was open or not. Then tonight she peed on our bed. The door definitely was not open. Twice this week she's peed on the dogs bed.
The thing is they are BIG pees. Not little dribbles of pee, but like huge, huge pees. And I take her out like three times during the course of the evening and she still does it. So I'm wondering if I need to up the frequency of my taking her out, or start looking into correcting this behavior.
It's summer here and it's HOT. And she plays a lot with our other dog so they are going through a ton of water a day. I do keep my eyes on her and I heard her barking and playing in the room this evening but I didn't think she was peeing in the bed 🙈
Thanks for the replies. She was just at the vet for her second shots, no issues. She is also in training but they haven't brought up this behaviour yet and I don't want to wait until they do. She has no problem going out when the door is open, we have no accidents during the day when the doors are open. It's seemingly just in the evening but I don't know if that's when she just needs to pee so badly or if she is marking her territory at night.
