Should I remove it my IUD?

Kaitlyn

August of 2020 I changed my form of birth control from the pill to the kyleena iud. Previously the pill never worked for me. I would forget to take it and I would always feel nauseous on it and still get heavy periods. So the iud seemed like a great idea. Everything was going well until about a couple months ago. Back in October I noticed having more severe abdominal aching and cramps than usual and I got diagnosed with a yeast infection and mild Bacterial vaginosis. Both got treated and then again in January tested positive for yeast. Just a week ago I went to the doctors and they thought I had BV so they treated me for it. Turns out I have another yeast infection. My gyno talked to me about doing “medication therapies” for some women who are prone to reoccurring bacterial and fungal infections. Has anyone ever done that? What’s ur experience? I was also wondering if the constant infections could be my iud? My gyno just checked it and said everything was in place, nothing puncturing me or anything. I’m not sure what else to do
