If you're going to use puppi, get the one size plus. My boy is almost a year and grown out of the normal one size.

It is going to still be bulky. You have the shell but you still need absorption which can be bulky… which you said was a problem in your other posts. 
You’re literally swapping from wool, which you didn’t like, to PUL.
You may like an All in ONE with everything as one part better.
