So i’ve been on the same pill for around 4 years now, i’ve never had any problems other than once or twice having breakthrough bleeding through the past 4 years. Because i’ve taken my pill over for two consecutive months in order to not have my usual break, i had breakthrough bleeding on my 3rd week of the second pack, just over a week ago.

It started light and only gradually got abit heaver especially in the morning before i took my next pill, then went lighter again.

I carried on my pill like normal as i only had 5 pills left of my pack, and now i’ve came off the pill for my break, however the breakthrough bleeding hasn’t stopped since it first started and now the bleeding has gotten heaver.

My question is will my pill cycle return back to normal when i start taking my next pill pack next week or will the bleeding continue even after i’ve had my break? I can’t tell if it’s still breakthrough bleeding at this point or i’m having my ‘period’ 😩
