Birth control??

Question

Hello everyone! I’m 19 and I’m thinking of getting birth control. I’ve been on birth control once (the pill) when I was around 15 but I wasn’t ready for it yet. I feel ready now and I’m planning to go to my gyn. I was wondering what’s the best birth control in your opinion? I’m still new to birth control and want to learn all of the experiences that people have had.

I would look into the iud or implant. I got the iud at 20, and it was awesome! Never have to worry about birth control, it's so nice

My favorite is the implant! I’ve recently got my second one put in, they last 4 years and are over 99% effective. The only side effects I’ve had are spotting (at the beginning) and not having a period for 3+ years has been great! :) Haven’t had any “cons” or bad experiences.

I've been on the pill, the implant, and the shot. My favorite this far has been the depo shot. It's every 3 months in the arm or butt area I prefer the arm since you do get sore for a day or 2 other than that I had no side effects. My period completely went away so that was a big bonus. Everyone is different along with their hormone level so what works for me might not work for you and vice versa.

I’ve been on the pill for like 3 years now & I like it pretty well. There are some side effects but it’s still better than getting pregnant. If you didn’t like the pill very much maybe you could look into the depo shot or iud.
