High HCG but questionable ultrasound
I have a history of loss. I ended up in the ER today and at 5w4d my HCG was 12,000 but the transvaginal ultrasound was only able to pick up where the placenta is forming as. Dark kidney bean shaped tiny area and no baby. I’m seeing conflicting things online. Is 12,000 too high for 5 weeks and should they have been able to see more? The doctor I saw seemed concerned
