So this girl is saying she had a allergic reaction to a medicine. She texted me this like 25 minutes ago and said she was at the hospital. She said “they trying to put a tube down my throat” like 15 minutes ago. So then she texts this back. Wouldn’t she be passed out by now if it was that bad? And why would they take that long to decide to help her if her throat was that swollen? She has done other weird things and I feel like she one of those people that just want attention or something…I could be wrong tho so Input pls?
To answer y’all questions she said it was a medicine she took. Why is she taking it 4 different times? She said it wasn’t her first time…and I’m not arguing with her I’m just a lil skeptical. If it can happen then I’ll apologize and that’s why I posted it.

Why are you arguing with her?  Yes, you can be too swollen to be intubated and require a cric and still be breathing for the moment. They may have just been discussing it as a possibility if she didn’t start to improve. Ultimately, you just look bad for trying to call someone out on something you aren’t well versed on, when you’re not there.

I was going to write out a long response because airway management is part of my job. All I’ll say is that she’s definitely lying and exaggerating the severity of her reaction if she’s still sending messages to her friends. Attention seeker.

You’re wrong and weird in my opinion. Are you a doctor or what? Even if she is “wanting attention” it’s weird that you’re going back and forth with her. Idk if you just lack empathy in general or what but that shouldn’t have even been a back and forth thing. Her throat could’ve be swollen, swollen and swollen shut are not the same. It is possible that her throat is too swollen for the tube but not swollen shut…thus allowing her to still breathe. Have you ever went to the hospital? You know most of the time it’s a waiting game right like most people are there for hours just waiting…so she could’ve been texting you while waiting. As her friend she probably was trying to keep you in the loop but if I was her I wouldn’t do that ever again and I would stop being your friend in general honestly…because no way I would have my friend challenging me while I’m in the hospital. You not replying at all would’ve been better than that but like she said “go off I guess”

My ex sil did stuff like this constantly.  It was super annoying, so I get why you are annoyed lol.  I remember when I went into labor with my son, she texted my mom telling her she had stomach cancer  (she did not). It was so weird.  She was always going to the hospital for “strange illnesses”.  At first it was like wow this is childish but then I got over her shit

Well I mean unless you’re there (you’re not) or a working and specialized doctor (I’m assuming you’re not) I don’t think your licensed to call her a liar? Y’all must have a weird relationship.
