Bad parent

With my first he could fall asleep if we don’t rock him and now is same thing just he is toddler now and someone needs to next to him when going to sleep at night.

Now I have 5 month old and sometimes I will hold him while he falls asleep.But last couple days I put him awake in crib turn white noise and leave room.He usually grunts for a bit but he falls asleep.

Now am I bad mom for letting him grunts for a bit? If he starts crying I will take him but he isn’t crying just scratching his eyes and I’m looking from door to see he is okay .
