How do i help my friend out of a toxic relationship?

My friend is in a toxic relationship with her girlfriend and i keep telling her to leave and to start having a backup plan to leave for example, she and girlfriend work at the same job so i told her to start applying to other jobs and doing interviews so that if another job comes up she can quit her old job and start the new one to create distance between her and her girlfriend but she says she's not sure because she's scared of getting into a new relationship and opening herself up to someone else how do i help her when she's scared?
