single moms by choice ?

Are there any women here that are single moms by choice ? I am very interested and would like to know your experience.

I was the stereotypical “I’m 40 not in a relationship no prospects but have always known I want to be a mom.”  Found a clinic and went through all types of attempts to conceive with my eggs and donor sperm - unmedicated IUI, medicated IUI, and IVF. After the 10th failure my doctor suggested using donor eggs. After some thought, I decided to try it, and got pregnant on the first attempt. Have an amazing now 4 year old son. 
As far as actually being a single mom, I won’t pretend it’s easy (especially at my age; almost 48 now!) but I don’t think it’s any harder than being a parent in general. There are different challenges, but also some advantages. I know moms who are no longer with their child’s father who say they’d trade having to deal with their ex for my situation any day. 
And I absolutely love being a mom. And I’m just happier overall. My outlook on life is totally different. I don’t get stressed about work or other things as much as I used to because I have something so much more fulfilling in my little family. Even when my son is driving me crazy, I love him more than anything in the world. 
I’m very open about all of this. I’ve had age appropriate conversations with my son about the different ways people have kids, how families look different, why he doesn’t have a dad, etc. And I’m very open with people I know. I’ve gotten a few weird looks or comments but most people are super supportive. If random people ask about my “husband” or my son’s dad, I just say “oh, it’s just the two of us” and leave it at that. 
Bottom line, even though it was hard emotionally, physically and financially (my insurance didn’t cover any of the fertility treatments), it was absolutely the best thing I’ve ever done.

Serious question… like what do you mean by choice? I’m asking because like you can not be in a relationship with the father (by choice) but he can still be an active father and to me that does not qualify as a single mom … 
Then I think the only other thing is telling the guy that you don’t want him to be in the child’s life but that’s not fair to him LIKE AT ALL 
Then I think the only other option is him saying he doesn’t want to be in the child’s life but that doesn’t qualify “by choice” because the mom didn’t make that decision… 
Please don’t be offended I’m asking , I was interested in reading the experiences although I’m married to my kids dad but I didn’t fully understand the qualifications for who might respond 💞
