Won’t sleep in his own bed

My son wakes up THE SECOND you try to lay him in his own bed about 99% of the time. If I pick him up, he immediately stops, and no matter how long I wait to put him back down, he freaks out the second I do. We’ve tried letting him cry, he gave in once for a nap after an hour of whining.. but at night, he cries hard and works himself up til he throws up after just a few minutes. I’ve tried white noise, rubbing his back, a blanket, everything… he just wants me/my bed. What do I do 😫
