What do you think?

Hi!

I posted on here sometimes ago about a guy who wanted “butty call” and when I said no, he said we should remain friends. Well, we’re praying for the VA to approve his application for a course he wanted to study so badly. Even after becoming officially friends, I continued to pray for that having been aware of his passion and how important it was to him. Because he said it was ok to text/call as “friends do,” I texted him on October 30th to find out if the VA had finalized decision so I don’t keep praying for an answer that has been received already. He didn’t respond. I deleted his number before this year so I can move on.

Yesterday morning, I was shocked to receive a text from him that simply said, “Hi.” Not knowing what to think or the best way to respond, after a few hours I responded with a “Hello.” And that’s it.

I’m trying so hard not to worry about this but I think that I am indeed concerned. What did you think I should do in this situation? Should I keep my cool or ask why he texted?
