Glucose test what to eat ?

This is my third baby but I have always had my glucose first thing in the am. I am not having mine until 330pm this time. I will have to eat breakfast and lunch. Any suggestions on what to eat ? My friend had peanut butter and somehow failed her initial and passed the 3 hour?

My last pregnancy the doctor told me to eat like I would normally eat but make sure I’m not eating cookies and cupcakes for lunch ;)

I would ask your Dr. I had to fast for 8-12 hours for my 1 hour test

Eat how you normally would eat, eating a correct diet for gestational diabetes isn’t really passing it. It is fooling it to pass plus, after drinking that drink that is the real test, but I’ve always eaten like I normally do.

My doctor always wanted me to eat normal for the 1 hour because if you change your diet it isnt a great indication of how your body is processing foods

It’s not uncommon to fail the one hour. With my last two I had it in the afternoon and I just ate normal meals with no considerations. I would however avoid snacking on things with added  sugar a few hours before the appointment.,
