Does some soaps bother your vagina?

I was using an off brand of Olay body wash and I noticed the opening of my vagina was like.. Raw and sore, almost like a yeast infection minus the discharge.
So I switched back to baby soap and used anti-itching and burning cream and noticed we’re going back to normal.
I can’t be the only one, anyone else?

You shouldn't be using soap in that area. Just water.

Yea I stop using soap 7 years ago before that I kept getting yeast infection I haven't had this problem since. I just use warm water and let my body self clean

Your vagina is self cleaning. You should not be cleaning it in any way, including with water. You will throw off your pH balance, which can lead to an infection. You can clean your labia and mons pubis with either a gentle, unscented soap or just water. I have extremely labia skin, so I just use a wet washcloth. Which is what my gynecologist recommended

Yes! I used to get the same way when I was using strongly scented soaps down there.
However, I switched to dove sensitive and I’ve been great ever since. I highly recommend!

Yep, which is why pediatricians teach parents how to care for little girls vaginas early on because we can get yeast infections or irritation from bath soaps and things like that! Personally I use all natural sensitive skin soaps down there, not the regular stuff in the soap aisle. Also I only put Epsom salts and essential oils in a bath if I take them not bubble bath soaps or the bath bombs that have all kinds of extra ingredients.

Yea. I had a friend who was even getting a uti from using a bidet bottle after peeing. The dr said there is bacteria on the outside of the vagina that help prevent infection etc. so yes even the outside of the vagina u have to be careful with and some are more sensitive than others. Use ph balanced products, unscented etc.

But to actually answer your question, I use all kinds of body washes down there and it's never caused any kind of irritation. Everyone is different though
