Smelly BF. Is this normal?

I have never had an issue with my bf’s hygiene. He showers 2x a day: morning and after work. I’ve been with him for a long time and I’ve never smelled him bad.

Yesterday I saw him after not seeing him for 2 weeks. I saw him at 1pm and hung out all afternoon. Obviously we had sex. When I was kissing him, he smelled like sorta metal ….as I was kissing him more he just started smelling like rancid alcohol. A very stingy odor. I didn’t say much.

I was doing oral and his penis stinked sooooo bad. I gagged and felt bad. He asked me “what happened ?” I had to lie and say I tried to deep throat but started gagging. I just sorta finished him off with a hand job but his penis smelled like sweat, fishy, old urine. It was a strange smell.

We were done I went under the sheets to nap and again the smell. It was his boxers.

I asked him why did he smell like alcohol. I didn’t mention the dick part. He said he drank a little this morning. 😳 who drinks so early ? The only people that have smelled like rancid alcohol are alcoholics and he smelled like one now I’m concerned.

It’s the first time his penis smelled. Idk how to ask him about the alcohol smell as to why he’s drinking so early
