Maternity Clothing sizeup for twins?

My mom suggested sizing up 1 for maternity clothes since im having twins - anyone else do this? Good idea?  Bad?

I have maternity clothes between sizes L and XXL because of previous pregnancies (I was wearing 2x shirts before this pregnancy). Most of my maternity clothes were stretchy enough to fit ok until about this last month. I bought some big flowy non-maternity t-shirts that were a size bigger than normal.

I did not size up. I bought things in the correct size as I needed them. Obviously in the twin pregnancy comes a time when nothing fits comfortably but I wore the same size I always wore just in the maternity version. I spent the last month in a half living in pajamas on bedrest though not much clothing was needed. 😉

I'm 18 weeks and didn't size up. You belly is what gets bigger, the elastics part on maternity clothes stretches pretty far!
