Boyfriend not affectionate

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this? My boyfriend never really wants to cuddle or anything, And is always sleeping and when I fly home to be with him for only 2 days (I see him once a month because I go to school half way across the country) all he does is go into the bedroom and fall asleep without even asking me to come with him and he doesn’t really ask me to do anything with him and he keeps saying he loves me but I feel so unloved…. I’m confused and idk why he wants to be with me…. What does this mean??
