I had a kyleena IUD placed in November 2021. I’ve never been pregnant. I loved the convenience, but I was dealing with severe cramping for several months, along with bleeding, heavy acne, and mood swings like you wouldn’t believe. I cried almost every day, and I’m a level person. I became anxious and a little depressed. My doctor kept telling me to wait it out, that it evens out, but I couldn’t take it anymore and finally got it out this march, 2022.

I really want the convenience of an IUD though, and I loved having a lighter period, so I was thinking about going skyla, which has lower amounts of hormones. Have any of y’all tried both? What do you think? Did it make a difference for you?
