Toddler spitting out medicine

My 22 month old keeps spitting out his cold medicine. It is over the counter so a pharmacist can’t add flavor to it. Any tips and tricks? When I aim towards the back cheek he starts choking so I’ve tried that before. I’ve also tried putting it in his water or food to mask it but he’s too smart. He doesn’t like anything too cold so making an ice pop out of it won’t work.

My son is not allowed screen time but when he’s sick and we need to give it to him we’ll distract him with a screen and when he’s distracted enough we give it to him and automatically hand him a sippy cup. My sis n law does sugar free lollipops and will sneak it in while they are sucking on the lolli. Idk what your baby’s vices are but use them to your advantage

My sons the same, he’s not allowed sugary drinks but I make an exception to hide his medicine in it however he catches on VERY fast. He’s just started day care a couple months ago and is constantly sick so giving him his antibiotics is a nightmare 😩 off to the drs today to see if there’s any other tips or options

Do the educators allow antibiotics into the centre ? If so your son may take his medicine if it’s his educators giving it to him ? We have children that are like that at their homes, but when they need antibiotics and we do allow them to come into our service (rules and regulations apply) the child 9/10 times will take that medicine
