Because this is my third baby we weren’t expecting to need help. Turns out, we were wrong.

In January our old landlord decided we needed to continue paying them 200 every month for the next two years (court ordered) over “damages” that, believe me, were not that bad and certainly not worth over $4k. We are paying that as well as our current rent and bills and taking care of two kids on one single income. My partner works and I can’t because daycare isn’t something we can pay for, nor do we qualify for help from the state.

Originally I didn’t think this was going to be that bad because my partners mother INSISTED on throwing a baby shower since this is our first girl. Now we are down to the wire with 10 weeks left that she most certainly will not stay in for all of and we have nothing. No bottles, no clothes, no car seat, no place to sleep, and no money. We have no idea what my partners mother is planning to do but we don’t have the luxury of waiting on her to figure it out, either.
