How long postpartum did you wait to go swimming?

My husband and I moved into a house with a pool in November, it’s crazy hot here so I/we have been daydreaming about our cozy summer with our pool and baby due May 11th. LOL WELL I just had the realization the other day that.. I won’t be able to use the pool for a while postpartum 😭

Did you get the green light from your doctor (similar to sex) before going in pools?

I was venting to my Mom friend about this and she said when they had a pool day postpartum she didn’t think anything of it and wore a tampon with her swim suit incase she went in the pool 😭 she didn’t end up swimming but she was only 5/6 weeks. She said it wasn’t a great feeling but she was fine. Hahah just sharing that cuz her story scared/wowed me. She said she just didn’t think of it/wasn’t told to worry about it. Maybe I’m over thinking it but I don’t think so?
