Is it safe for 1 year old to eat watermelon?

Is it okay for a 1 year old to eat watermelon that has little seeds in it? My son has been eating watermelon perfectly fine, but I was curious if watermelon seeds are toxic.

Fine. They are not toxic they come out as whole, so don't spook when changeing diaper.
But if there are quite large round seeds, I would still take them out, if baby is just one. Chocking hazard maybe. 
I personally have never bothered to take the seeds out myself, so I have eaten watermelon seeds from the time I first ate watermelon. Last we had them in stores here was in october maybe, my son was 13 months, so I took his seeds out more because I was afraid he chokes, because that wm had very large seeds also for some reason.

It’s fine, one of my 1 year olds favs. I do cut it up into small pieces for her though so I always see any seeds. The black seeds you should take out, white is ok
