it was the first method of birth control i tried too. for me personally, it had the worst side effects. i don’t know if it was just a shock to my body or something but i always felt incredibly nauseous and my headaches were insane. the side effects reduced by the end of the month, but the nausea never went away.. so i just stopped using it. my second being the pill. the pill gave me those same side effects, but not as severe. i could at least get out of bed unlike the patch, i felt the need to always be laying down or i’d vomit. the pill side effects went away after 2 weeks and i was good. i started birth control because my PCOS. but after 3-4 months on the pill i got my period back out of nowhere with the most intense cramping so i stopped the pill and moved onto nexplanon. nexplanon for me has been the best!!! i love it. i had no awful side effects in the beginning other than the site where it was inserted being itchy but that goes away. i also was hungry for the first month. my period is super light now and i never cramp. it’s a 50/50 with the nexplanon because some women never bleed on it and some do for a few months. i went 8 months no period and then when i did it was just 4 days of spotting. hope this helps!! always try to find what works best for you and your body but this is what helped me personally. i’m not a specialist or anything but this is just my experience, always talk to a professional about it first.so always be careful and be safe
