Too buff?

Have any of you been told you were “too buff?” I was told by a loved one that I am “too buff” for a particular dress. The comment has bothered me. The last thing I want as a woman is to be told I look manly. Am I being too sensitive?

Coming from someone who likes to lift heavy and have noticeable muscles..
There are definitely some dress styles that are less flattering on more muscular women. Particularly halter tops if you have very defined shoulders. 
So it's not that you're too buff, but maybe just need to find the style most flattering for your body type. And that goes for everyone. We all have different shaped bodies, and some styles will be more flattering than others depending on the person.

People have told me that before . Even my spouse once when we were in our 20’s . I look back to pics that time and I was TINY I was like howwwwww did you think I had manly arms ???? 🤣 he says he just meant like toned . 
At this point in my life I focus on if I like what I see , and I love gaining muscle . I love lifting heavier than I did the week before. Other peoples opinions on my body can never sway me anymore .

Body esthetics are a personal taste. I especially love when overweight ppl tell fit women they’re too buff. Like please. Are you healthy, are you happy? Can you do the activities you want to do? That’s what should matter. Looks not so much. 
I think your loved one made a really shitty comment and I hope you’re able to tell them how it made you feel so they don’t do it again to you or someone else.
