There was a video going viral on Instagram. It was about a lady pole dancing in a child’s room and while she was on the pole she hit a baby as the baby was playing and knocked the baby over. Lots of people in the comments are either making jokes about it or saying it’s inappropriate the lady has a pole in the child’s room and would swing at the child without stopping or making sure the child is okay.

It’s distasteful. While it’s not abusive, it’s not cute or funny either. 
I wouldn’t have a pole in my kid’s room, but to each their own.

I’ve seen the video. There’s no way she could just stop spinning, gravity doesn’t work that way. She’s not stripping, she’s working out around her baby there’s nothing sexual about it. No one would think twice if she was on an elliptical in her kids room and the kid accidentally got hit with one of the pedals

I mean it’s not like she knocked the kid unconscious or that the kid was bleeding etc.
More than likely that room was her dance room before the baby. And so I don’t see an issue with the pole being in there.
She could have gotten down and checked on the kid but that’s the only issue I see here.

When the wii and just dance were a big thing, we’d all take turns playing in the living room. While my dad was dancing my little brother was trying to walk past him and my dad clocked him in the head with the wii remote. Got it on video😂 
He didn’t appear to sustain any permanent injury, although he can be pretty weird at times 🤨

Why does she need the pole in the baby’s room? That just doesn’t even seem like a good idea to be swinging around while there’s a baby moving about.
Also not everything needs to be shared on social media! Do parents these days ever stop and think about how what they post about their children will affect them in the future? I think ppl forget that babies grow up eventually and maybe won’t want all their peers watching their mom pole dancing in their nursery as they get knocked out in the process. Like it or not, pole dancing has a certain connotation to it and it is what it is.
 I think gen alpha’s form of rebellion is going to be them staying off social media and being extremely private bc their parents and family over shared their entire lives to the public from the second they were in the womb. Mom knew what she was doing sharing this, she got the attention she wanted.

I understand she's working out...but it is a bit distasteful to record yourself on a pole in your babies room...even if you don't think anything is "sexual" about it, I bet preteen and teens and A LOT of creeps/pervs DO find it sexual. Say what you want about me but how do you not think stripper pole when someone is recording themselves on a pole? I'm not saying that's HER intentions. Because I wouldn't mind working out like this in the privacy of my own home or doing this for my man. And I have nothing against dancers. But I don't see how doing this infront of your baby will set a good example? And honestly I wouldn't want my child "working out" like this until they're an adult. I know she didn't mean to hit her baby so I wouldn't be calling her names or making her feel worse. But in my own opinion, I don't think babies and poles that sadly are already sexualized by almost everyone and everything really go together...for you and your man yes. For you to work out on and learn for your self, hell yes. Just can't expect people to not sexual something that has a reputation of being sexual you know? But again I have no issues with anyone!
