Night waking

Does anyone else's little one still wake up during the night?

It takes me over an hour to settle him most evenings and he wakes crying in the night, anything from 2-4 times. He will generally resettle after a few cuddles but around 3am ish gets up and won't go back down and I end up letting him in our bed so I can get some sleep!

Is this normal?

Some people at work today were saying he should have grown out of doing that by now and now I'm feeling a bit rubbish about it and wondering if its only me having this issue!

He still needs his hour nap every day after lunch, he goes to bed a 7pm and after being up and down all night, gets in our bed at early hours and then wakes about 6am ish.
