Did you do a home birth for your first birth?

Question

Did any of you do a home birth for your first child? 
I hear they are easier and less stress!
I have bad anxiety and I get anxious being away from home for more than a day, and I don’t want to be stressed and anxious during birth ☹️

I had a home birth for my first and I’m planning the same for my second. It was a great experience! I really loved not having to travel to the hospital during labor, I didn’t have to think about getting dressed or having a bag packed or my water breaking in a taxi 😂 I wandered around my house mostly naked with my Hypnobirthing affirmations playing, sat on my yoga ball, ate when I wanted to, took a bath and a shower when I wanted to, didn’t have to worry about people coming in and out bothering me and poking and prodding me. I could just focus on me and my body and nothing else.
I had a doula who helped my husband get the birth pool set up and she took care of all the clean up too. My midwife was amazing and just let me do my thing, only intervening when she needed to, and she respected everything that we had discussed in my birth plan.
Honestly when I went to my first appointment for this pregnancy and they asked what I would like to do differently compared to my last birth, I said absolutely nothing. If it could all go exactly the same, I’ll be thrilled.

I've had both of my babies at home and I'm planning on having my 3rd here as well. My midwife required that a doula for my first but she didn't do much because my husband was so awesome. I have the same feelings about being away from home and since I'm low risk being at home just makes the most sense.

I had my first at a birth center and it almost felt like a homebirth but just not home 😂 definitely not as comfortable as being at home but didn’t have the stress of a hospital. 
I’m due with my second baby in 4 days though and we are having a home birth this time!

I did a freestanding birth center because I lived in a condo and didn't want to be worried about noise + neighbors. I ended up doing most of the laboring at home--went through transition in the car and was immediately ready to push once I got there so it felt like kind of a waste to change locations 😅 Staying at home this time and looking forward to it! Wherever you feel calmest/safest is definitely where you should give birth.
The hardest part was being "home alone" with baby the first night, was super thankful my sister was in town to help, and we did call the midwife once with questions. But perhaps a postpartum doula could come that first night?
