If you’re a homeschooling momma or plan to homeschool, can I ask your reasoning?

Question

As my son approaches school age I am just so disgusted by the public schools in our area. There are so many complaints about bullying, kids getting beat up, teachers not doing anything about it, etc. It sickens me to think of my son being beat up or bullied and no one cares. A 3rd grader was jumped in the bathroom and the teachers won’t identify the bullies. I was relentlessly bullied in school and it made me attempt suicide when I was only 12 years old. I just don’t want the same thing for my children. This fall I plan to start homeschooling my son but I’m getting so much backlash from people, even my best friend who is a teacher. She says “bullying is just part of life, it toughens you up.” No, I refuse to accept that! There is no excuse or justification for it! And my parents keep saying I’m going to make my kids weird because they won’t get “proper socialization”. 
If you are also homeschooling, what reasonings do you have behind it?

School is just indoctrination these days, IMO. I’ve read the curriculum. It’s mostly incorrect or useless information. Children learn about Christopher Columbus as if he was some sort of American savior. They learn about Thanksgiving like it was a friendly meal and the nice white people fed the poor savage natives. They learn nothing about the natural world or real science, elementary school only designates science as a “special” subject once a week for an hour in my state. Children are told to sit at a desk for hours which is biologically abnormal. Given 30 min of recess. And yet we wonder why we have so many kids with hyperactivity and behavioral problems? All of it is just nonsense. Sorry to the teachers out there. I know you’re just doing your job, but you have to be aware of how modern day school is NOT a productive, positive learning environment. 
After my residency I plan on working part time, possibly only doing telehealth, so that I can homeschool my children.

I’m going to homeschool because I live in a state where I do not trust that the information taught will not be unbiased. There was a literal book burning recently. 
I also don’t like the idea that the majority of school time is just busy work. It was set up so that both parents could work and it’s basically just extended childcare. 
And I want my child to learn at his own pace. He’s incredibly smart and i don’t see any point in not letting him continue his education at whatever pace he chooses. 
We are also planning to do a lot of traveling by the time he is school age. 
I’m grateful to be able to work from home and have a very flexible job to make this all possible.

We are going to homeschool since I'm already a sahm. We don't like what public schools are pushing nowadays. We don't want our kids taught about sex in kindergarten, which is being pushed. We don't want them learning agendas we don't approve of or support. We don't want ideas of lgbtq bullshit put in their heads before they are even old enough to understand. We don't that agenda pushed on them. Public school has gone down hill and we don't want any part of it

I just started homeschooling because my kids wanted to actually go back to being home and the stress of doing state tests was getting to my 2 oldest. 
The schools were wanting to schedule meetings because my boys were scoring 1-3 points lower although they were still on board with the children in their grade. It was getting super annoying for me because I have work and other kids and I did not have the time to have a meeting after every state test or practice test. Like omg stop the madness.

My husband was homeschooled and he still socialized a lot and made friends in youth group and his neighborhood, etc. I think it'll just take some extra effort to still have socialization with other kids but it's not going to make your kid weird. My husband is perfectly "normal" and isn't socially awkward at all.

I will be homeschooling as well for a number of reasons, number one being that school is taught to the lowest common denominator. As a child I often came home from school crying because of how BORED I was. I want to challenge my children academically and help them thrive in a way that's best for them. Second, all the politically woke BS they're teaching is schools now, I think it's only a matter of time before private and Catholic schools are forced to teach it as well. Third, I'm generally opposed to the length of the traditional school day, esp for young children, and homeschooling can be done much more efficiently. Fourth, the bullying; I was relentlessly bullied for being the smartest kid in my class until I went to a different school for high school and of course the teachers did nothing. And lastly, we want four kids total, I'd never ever send my kids to public school, and with private school tuition the way it is, I'd rather save the money and teach K-8 myself. I might do through high school, I'd rather not but we'll see what the world is like then. 
As for socialization, there are so many ways to take care of it that I feel it's a non-issue. Homeschooling playgroups/pods, scouting, athletics, Sunday school, etc etc etc.

We don’t homeschool, but we did pull our kids out of public schools last year to attend our church’s Christian school. 
Public schools are just horrible now, especially where I live. Seems like people are so desensitized to the real issues at hand.

My reasoning is safety due to the area I live in, already being in SAHM & homeschooling communities, and knowing other families who homeschool. Flexibility and religion also plays a part too.

The people that I know who homeschool do so for religious reasons. They either want religion to be the focal point of the curriculum and/or they think schools will “indoctrinate” their child and somehow their child will no longer be living according to their religious beliefs.

If parents have the resources to do homeschooling they absolutely should. I'm not a parent nor a teacher but my mom is and I've heard stories. Administration couldn't care less of the kids to be blunt. They don't work in the field and are very ignorant on what actually goes on. So when incidents happen, it's typically not taken seriously by most. Also, as some comments have said its definitely indoctrination. A parent once complained about my mom to administration because she played Aladdin for the kids. They were Christian and the argument was that it wasn't fair to "push" those ideas onto religious children. And she wasn't allowed to play any Disney movie without approval after that. Schools have way too much control. I Will say though that it is not one size fits all. I'm all for freedom to homeschool kids as you like but it doesn't change the facts that they still need a well rounded education. Homeschooling kids so you can omit certain facts to push an agenda only raises ignorant kids. I'm talking about the "holocaust didn't happen" kind of narratives
