This really caught me off guard. Today my husband and I were on our way to see a movie that he’s been wanting to see. Then he says he doesn’t even want to see the movie anymore and wants to “call it quits”. I ask what he’s talking about, he says he wants us to divorce. I’ve been feeling like he doesn’t like me or love me for months now. We have only been married for 1 year and 9 days. We have been together for 5 years and friends for 6 years before that! He’s emotionally and sexually abusive so I should be happy idk. But I really thought we could work through this. He told me he loves me and cares for me but also wants a divorce. I’m sad and angry all at once. I know I deserve better but after 5 years of him I find it hard to start over. It’s also so embarrassing I don’t want to tell anyone because like everyone thinks we are this “perfect power couple” “relationship goals”. I am sick 😒
