Cheap clothes that are not fast fashion?

I need to redo my wardrobe after a weight change I got a bunch of stuff on SHEIN because the price was right and I was surprised they had cute stuff. I posted about it on Instagram and had some friends chew me out about it being fast fashion 😳 now I feel so guilty. But a lot of places are expensive for clothes. Is there any ethical clothing stores you can suggest?

I thought fast fashion was just cheap, trendy clothes… the idea being you wouldn’t spend much on it because it’ll only be in style for like one year. Do your friend s only dress in “timeless quality pieces” ? Lol because they sound like snobs… personally I live somewhere that has veryyy few thrift stores, and you never find anything brand name or of high quality unless its very outdated… so if you’re on a budget, you don’t have THAT many options.

I wouldn't listen to your "friends" who cared it's your money and you can use it on whatever you want. I personally like Shein clothes they're cheap and I'm on a budget. You could always try a thrift store. Seriously though do what you want with your money and stop caring what your friends think. I would never tell my friend to not but something if anything I'd be like damn you make the clothes look good! Get yourself better friends or just stop letting what they say actually affect you or make you question your own clothing choices.

The best thing to do to combat fast fashion is to not buy new clothes and to mend the ones you have if you can. Buying something that can be fixed or tailored if need be is a good idea, though can be more expensive outright. If you need more clothes, second hand is a good option :)

I do a lot of second hand shopping. There are a bunch of consignment thrift stores with name brand clothing at a fraction of the price, only gently used. Perhaps see if there are any in your area.

If your friends want to buy you brands that aren’t fast fashion then they can have an opinion. If they wear Forever21 they’re part of the problem too! SHEIN is affordable and has decent things for the price. Thrifting is always an option but it is definitely time consuming and takes patience.

I bought a bunch of clothes from there for spring/summer as I gave birth in January and haven’t had an opportunity to lose the weight because I’m breastfeeding(pumping). The weight isn’t dropping as fast as people say so I will diet once I’m done so I brought from them since I don’t intend to be the same weight next summer. Their clothes are okay for the price, it was my first time buying their clothes but I’m satisfied, they make cute stuff.
