What size pads should I get?

First time mom here!! I am having a planned c section on April 29th and I’m wondering what size of pads should I buy for when I come home? I know the hospital will give me those giant ones during my stay but will I need to continue using those at home or will my “flow” not be as heavy by then? Just trying to be prepared!

Highly recommend the always discreet boutique adult underwear. Sooo much easier than dealing with pads. I used with my csection and vaginal births

This will be my third c-section and I bought the depends underwear or Amazon ones after hearing how much better they were than the mesh panties and pads they give you at the hospital. I usually bleed mid-heavy flow for about 1-2 weeks and then like a light flow where I can use normal pads for another 1-2 weeks. Good luck! You’ve got this.

I just bought the always underwear and packed them in my hospital bag. Seems much easier to deal with.

With my first I only bled for 3-4 days after and it wasn’t that heavy. I just wore heavy pads because I personally hated wearing the diapers.

I bled a lot less C-section vs vaginal delivery. I had a pack of the hospital ones and then got a multi pack and black underwear from target. Heavier pad for at night but was pretty good!

I had a giant pack of the heavy pads & used those with disposable underwear from Fridamom. But I’m wondering if I even needed a pad that big unless it was at night. I wasn’t even close to soaking through them during the day. I would get a small pack of overnights & see how your bleeding is then graduate to a regular pad.
