Giving solid to a 1 month baby??

Okay i have a question. We were over at my family's yesterday. It was my little cousins bday. We have our little 1 month baby with us. While they were cutting the cake my aunt gets a small piece of frosting and gives it to my baby. We read online this is a old tradition older people do😳😳🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️She is completely fine. But what do i tell my aunt next time? And is this bad?

If anyone came and put something of any kind in the mouth of my newborn baby I would hoendtly probably leave and avoid that person for the rest of my life.
Luckily I've never met anyone that rude and that unaware of personal boundaries.

I’d call her and tell a lil white lie and be like “yeah my kid got sick from that. babies can’t digest anything besides breastmilk at this age so I had to let you know so you don’t do that to her or any other newborn again.”

NOT okay. There are clear reasons why you DONT give solids before 6 months. It’s not all about their swallowing ability, even though that’s an issue. It’s MAINLY bc they have an “open gut.” Their gut is not fully closed into the tube it becomes until 6 months. This means they can get serious infections and develop severe food allergies from exposures that happen before the gut is closed. I would be livid!!!

Don’t let her near your baby when there’s food around. Your baby may have some gassiness since they can’t digest all the crap that’s in frosting
