Question

So apparently I am having a hard time buying/finding clothes that fit my baby. I have 0-3 sleepers/onesies that seem to big. The onesies seem to fit good just very long. Newborn sleepers are long and tend to swollen him which could be due to the fact that he likes to have his legs and feet curled up. What size or what do you recommend I do to find the perfect size he needs to be in?
He weighed 7 lbs 10 oz when born. When we left hospital he weighed 7  lbs 8 oz.

My daughter was about the same weight, we had a few Newborn size (which is a bit smaller than 0-3m) but she grew into the 0-3m size pretty quickly

The gerber onesies are smaller. But dont get too many because baby will outgrow. We also liked the kimono wrap snap shirts, no bottoms. Roomy in the seat is actually a good thing to prevent diaper leakage.

The Gerber onesie 0-3 months are the perfect size but I noticed that their sleepers seem huge.  The Carter’s sleepers (0-3 months) fit so much better!!  My daughter’s birth weight was 7 lbs 7 oz (7 lbs 4oz two days later).  She’s now 5 weeks and the Gerber sleepers 0-3 months are still huge.

Long isn’t a huge deal. We had our guy in the little robe things for a while because it was easier than finding something long and lean enough for him. I will suggest that carters seemed to fit much wider than some other brands of your looking for something a bit wider/shorter.

Have you tried a swaddle that ties on the bottom? I found normal swaddles (velcro and SwaddleMe ArmsUp) worked fine being tucked under my kid's feet but maybe a swaddle that ties on the bottom would be more snug for your kid.

Agree that gerber onesies are smaller than most so you could def try those. Or try some knitted or zippered gowns. Also, it’s not the end of the world if things are a little big, he’ll grow into them
