How do you handle this?
I have a 16 year old daughter that I have sole legal and physical custody of (have since birth). Her dad recently fought to try to get time and legal custody (decision making). He didn’t get anything because she doesn’t want him involved in her life and made that very clear to the family counselor and mediator.
During that though, I found he put himself as her primary contact at childrens hospital. I was completely removed from her account and couldn’t even make her an appt (and she had skin cancer at the time!). I got it changed by showing them a legal document stating that he didn’t have legal custody.
However, I called today to make her yearly check and she has another abnormal mole, and he had changed all the information AGAIN, adding himself as the sole contact. They want legal documents AGAIN to remove him yet I know they didn’t require anything to remove me because he doesn’t HAVE legal documentation to have me removed.
However, I know his aunt works there, so I have a feeling she has helped him access her account.
Would you reach out to an attorney at this point? What kind of attorney for something like this? Consumer?
Thanks for any advice!
