It’s fine! I actually cut the pills and take 5mg instead of 10 per day. Whatever works for you! It’s the one allergy medication that both my allergist and IBCLC recommend.

I did a neti pot and Flonase if it was really bad. I avoided systemic drugs while nursing and quit early to get back into allergy shots and drugs 🤷🏼‍♀️

It can affect your milk production, since it decreases maternal prolactin.
Most common infant side effects reported by breastfeeding mothers: 10% noted infant irritability and colicky symptoms. 
Consensus: Small occasional doses of cetirizine are probably acceptable during breastfeeding. Larger doses or more prolonged use may cause drowsiness and other effects in the infant or decrease the milk supply. It is considered an acceptable choice if an antihistamine is required during breastfeeding.

Desloratadine, Fexofenadine, Levocetirizine, Loratadine
