Buying 2nd child some new stuff
Am currently 29 week with a boy. I also have a son who will be 3 in june.
Just started nesting and i do have baby clothes, toys and everything. But somehow i feel like my 2nd also needs some new stuff that are his own. The clothes i got are handmedowns from another child, not my son as i had given my sons clothes away. I got them a year ago and they are well mantained. Am not sure though, if new stuff are more hygienic in the first week. Am i just wasting money? Or is it ok to get some new stuff.
The toys were used by my nephew and then my son. Dont know if i should get baby a few starter toys that are his own. Definetly want to get him a bear that is his to keep like i did for the first but what about other toys? Baby will be taking them in the mouth a lot.
I have bought about 10 clothes. I replaced mittens and socks because those were worn out. Tried to get more zipper pieces to make it easier to dress 2 kids and a few outfits that were just too cute to resist.
1. Also should i rewash the newborn clothes? I washed them, ironed them, and stored them in ziplock bags in the basement a year ago. I feel so tired and am constantly going to the doctor so i feel like skipping the re-washing.
2. Should i set up everything? I share a bedroom with my toddler and the new born will in there too. So it is a tiny space. Wanted to move but couldnt find sth in my budget and now i just gave it up because am not in the mood to carry stuff in 3rd trimester. I feel a relief having everything accessible and ready, not in the basement and feel like if i set it up now, i will have time to think about how to arrange stuff for 3 people instead of waiting plus i am getting more tired each day. But if i set up now, my son and i will have less room for another 2 months.
Ps. My husband aint around to help. So it is all on me.
