Should I ask my MIL to stay with me before my mum gets here? Please read
I am 34+3 currently, have a 20 month old, live with my husband but have no other family around me. Closest family is 5 hours away.
My MIL will be coming to visit us on the 1st of May when I will be 35+4 as it is Eid, the plan was that she stay a few days then go back home as my mum will be coming from abroad to help out pre/post birth of baby girl.
My mum has booked her ticket and is now going to be arriving on the 23rd of May, when I will be 38+5. I went into labour with my first at 38+6, labour was only 8 and a half hours from my waters breaking to him being born (it would have likely been less had they not given me my epidural when I was 10cm dilated without realising I was 10cm dilated).
My options are, either I take the risk and not ask my MIL to stay til my mum gets here, or I ask her to stay and she stays with me from 1st May - 23rd May (she won't be willing to make the 5 hour journey twice). If I do go into labour before my mum gets here and my MIL isn't here either, I will have to go to the hospital alone as my husband would need to stay with my son, unless it happens during the day in which case one of my friends here would likely help and take him for a few hours while someone 5 hours away makes the trip up..
