Curious if folks are planning to use a doula, midwife, or postnatal doula, and/or the support of a doctor?

It seems that postnatal doulas where we live book out 6 months in advance so we're already thinking about this.

Answer

Midwives and continuity care is the gold standard of pregnancy care. There’s a reason why midwives are the main carers of pregnant women globally.
The history of midwifery is fascinating and worth looking into. As is the destruction of the profession in the USA.
But seriously, continuity care is worth researching.

My friend is a Doula/Photographer and offers photography throughout the experience. She didn’t do it yet when I had my son and my second was born in 2020 and I was having a lot of issues with the pregnancy. I nearly died after having my daughter. I always make sure I have an OB and not a midwife.
